As a filmmaker and writer, Gary Hilborn understands that a well-told story, crafted with specificity and care, can shine a light on our shared humanity and foster a sense of empathy for those facing circumstances different from our own.
He has worked for over thirty years as a professional in the entertainment industry with credits as a writer, director, producer, and performer. At age twelve, Gary began training and working as an actor. He credits his facility with storytelling to a lifetime spent analyzing and inhabiting characters on the stage and screen.
He received his B.F.A. from the historic City College of New York, where he studied Documentary Film Production and Journalism. In 2023, The Society of Professional Journalists recognized him for his work covering LGBTQ+ elders.
Gary is the Founder and President of Due South Media, where he oversees an ever-expanding slate of stories across the film, television, digital, and audio spaces.
