OVERVIEW

From Stage to Screen is a six-week workshop designed for actors with a theatrical foundation who want to refine their on-camera craft.

The focus is on agility: learning to make quick, effective decisions about your character’s role in the moment, the story, and the scene. Whether you have little to no rehearsal or a fully collaborative process with a director, you’ll be prepared with a toolbox of adaptable techniques for thriving on set.

WHO IT’S FOR

Actors with stage training who are shifting to film, TV, or streaming work

  • Performers who want to bring truth, specificity, and adaptability to their on-camera acting

  • Artists preparing for auditions, day-player roles, and larger set experiences

  • Students who are eager to work with the camera in every class

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

Scalable Techniques: Applying Stanislavski, Meisner, and Practical Aesthetics to on-camera work

  • Text in Action: Breaking down scripts quickly to find objectives, actions, and beats

  • On-Camera Presence: Tips, tricks, and techniques to maximize your impact in the frame

  • Scene Work: Exercises that simulate the realities of fast-paced production schedules

  • Collaboration Skills: Adjusting your performance based on direction while keeping your truth intact

This isn’t an audition technique class. It’s a craft-focused workshop that gives you a full on-camera toolkit and the confidence to walk on set ready to work.
