Teaching Artist

I began teaching drama in 1994, leading workshops for K–12 students in my home state of Louisiana while working as a young actor. Since then, education has remained a central part of my creative path. I've developed and taught arts programs that emphasize storytelling and self-expression. In New York City, I’ve worked with organizations like Bronx Arts Ensemble to bring performance-based learning to public school students in grades K–8. Whether in the classroom or the rehearsal room, I approach teaching with the same care and curiosity I bring to my work as a media maker.

Workshops

As an acting coach, I work with professional actors to deepen their craft and sharpen their on-camera presence. Drawing on thirty years of training and experience as a working actor, I lead masterclasses and private coaching sessions rooted in the principles of Meisner’s technique and the Atlantic Theater Company’s practical aesthetics. My approach combines technical precision with emotional honesty, enabling actors to build confidence, stay grounded, and connect authentically—whether in the audition room or on set. Each session is tailored to support the unique needs and goals of the artist.
